Martin Andanar: The plan to at least able to compete [to GMA Network and IBC] as far as ratings is concerned and the PTV being the government-owned and -controlled corporation, it also has to make its own money from advertisers. Now, we have the Mindanao media hub to be unveiled this coming October. So as far as Luzon and Mindanao, we have two strategic hubs already. We only lack one more have, which is the Visayas media hub. Martin Andanar answers Eric if PTV will be competing with GMA Network and IBC with ABS0CBN out of the network (Kapamilya Kingdom)
Presidential Communications Operations Office or PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar hopes that after the shutdown of ABS-CBN, PTV-4, a government-owned TV network will be able to compete with GMA Network, Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp. and TV5, the three leading TV networks as of today, along with RPN-9.

According to AGB Nielsen last June 2020, 1 month after ABS-CBN's shutdown, GMA-7 doubled it's audience share from 34.5% to 63%. While PTV-4, which is known as the Kasama Network, generating an audience share from 16.1% to 30%, IBC-13, which is known as the Kaibigan Network, having an audience share from 25.4 to 15.7. TV5 which is known as the Kapatid Network, from having a measly 2.8%, to 9.5% audience share. RPN-9, known as the Kapiling Network, from having a 10% to 6.6% audience share.
