IBCinema (stylized as IBCINEMA) is a Philippine free-to-air television channel created and owned by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation. IBCinema is the second movie channel of IBC after the former Cinema Movie (defunct), a cable channel owned by the network, and the first digital terrestrial television movie channel. The programming consists of mainstream and independent local films (including all the films shown on IBC's PPP: Piling–Piling Pelikula and Kaibigan Sinerama, IBC Plus' Kaibigan Movie Fest and PPP: Piling–Piling Pelikula) and Filipino-dubbed international films.

Named after IBC's former movie block of the same name, the channel was on test broadcast from September 13, 2020 until October 4, 2020, and was officially launched on October 5, 2020. As an all–movie channel, IBCinema operates daily from 5 am to 1 am.

It is the fourth network launched under the IBC television branding, along the leading TV network IBC, the Filipino-language UHF news channel IBC News Network, the UHF TV network IBC Plus and the digital archive television channel IBC Classics.

Overview[]

The channel consists from selected local and Filipino–dubbed international movies aired on IBC, IBC Plus and IBC Toons. As a digital channel, IBCinema is not allowed to compete with other movie channels in the Philippines that broadcast through cable and satellite. In March 22, 2021, IBCinema eventually picked up a new competition from GMA Network's digital movie channel I Heart Movies, whose approach tends to favor more movies and films as opposed to the same digital movie channel.

On July 4, 2022, IBCinema was revamped as the only movie channel, merging its movie programming with IBC Box Office, which was shut down permanently on July 3, 2022.

Programming[]

IBCinema carried local films from four Filipino major film companies (Viva Films, Seiko Films, Regal Entertainment, Solar Pictures and their own studio IBC Films) and minor film companies (OctoArts Films, Globe Studios, TBA Studios, Reality Entertainment and selected Filipino independent film companies), along with Filipino–dubbed international films from its distributors including Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, 20th Century Studios, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures, among others.
