IBC-13 and 89 DMZ will showcase a free outdoor TV and movie screening and a concert respectively on October 4 (Friday) as part of the two-day grand celebration of The Kapinoy Network’s 53rd anniversary titled Kapinoy ng Kasiyahan: The Grand Kapinoy Weekend at the Luneta Park.
At 5:30 pm, IBC-13 will hold a free TV showing of a hit romantic teleserye on primetime that captured the hearts of Filpinos worldwide—Safe In The Arms Of Love top-billed by Diether Ocampo, Cristine Reyes, Cogie Domingo and Cherie Pie Picache, directed by Wenn V. Deramas.
The outdoor screening will be made more special by the special appearances by some of IBC-13’s biggest stars including Bimby Aquino-Yap, Jr. from the children's afternoon teleserye Frijolito and Mutya Orquia from the children's primetime teleserye Carita de Angel. The Kapinoy Network’s participation The Grand Kapinoy Weekend ilikewise part of its year-long 3rd anniversary festivity.
Following the TV and film screening, IBC-13’s dance music FM station iDMZ 891 Sayaw Pinoy! will stage at the 89 DMZ Live: The Sayaw Music! free concert at 8:30 pm. 89 DMZ DJs will also have a special production number in the concert. Aside from TV and movie screening and concert, IBC-13 and 89 DMZ will set up the booths at the Kapinoy Village during the two-day Grand Kapinoy Weekend. Kapinoy attendees can visit the KapinoyLand booth for photo opportunities with their favorite IBC stars with the PBA and NBA players who will take part in the event. Participants can also purchase IBC Home Video DVDs, music recording company IBC Records and also IBC-13 merchandise.
Meanwhile, 89 DMZ DJs and staff are set to indulge loyal Kapinoy with Sayaw fun and Sayaw prizes when they visit the 89 DMZ radio booth. They can greet, request for their favorite songs, take pictures with 89 DMZ DJs, and bond with the rest of the iDMZ 891 DJs. On Saturday (October 5), 89 DMZ radio booth will be open to registration for DJ wannabees for the radio program “On-Air.”
